web redesign for a legal firm in uae

Designing trust for a German law firm operating in one of the world's most complex jurisdictions.

A brand stationery mockup for DGMA, featuring an embossed orange folder and a white business card with a skyscraper illustration and the tagline "Expert Legal Guidance for Life, Business & Beyond."

The brief was specific: build a site that feels as precise and trustworthy as the firm itself, in a market where legal credibility is everything and visual mediocrity costs mandates. We built in Webflow, designed a full custom icon system for each practice area, and used motion to communicate process clarity.

A desktop monitor displaying the DGMA homepage, featuring a grayscale skyline of Dubai and the headline "German lawyers in the UAE for founders, investors & emigrants."
Both sides of a DGMA business card for Managing Partner Samira Krempel, shown against a backdrop of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. One side is solid orange with the white logo, while the other is white with contact details.

How it came together

Legal websites are a design problem with unusually high stakes. Your audience is already anxious; they're moving to a foreign country, starting a company in an unfamiliar legal system, or dealing with an inheritance they don't know how to protect. Every design decision either reduces that anxiety or amplifies it.

We designed a custom icon set from scratch rather than licensing stock icons, because the practice areas are specific to UAE law and nothing generic accurately represented the nuance of what DGMA actually does for its clients.

The animation layer came next. Legal sites typically treat motion as decoration. We used it as a navigation tool — transitions that indicate process, scroll behaviour that reinforces sequence, and micro-interactions that reward attention.

Three square social media tiles for DGMA: one discussing tax questions for German investors in the UAE, a center tile featuring a grayscale Dubai cityscape, and a third tile about Managing Partner Mariem Al-Ssayrafi with an image of an airplane in a blue sky.

The Result

The entire site is in German, built for an audience that is research-heavy and trust-driven before they make contact. The information architecture reflects that; content ordered by decision stage, not service category. Someone exploring immigration options arrives at different content than someone already in the UAE looking for estate planning. That structural thinking is invisible when it works, which is when it's working best.

The result is a site that communicates that DGMA operates methodically; which is exactly what a client placing legal trust in an unfamiliar system needs to feel before they book a consultation.
